Halloween Safety Tips for Parkhill! ๐ป
Halloween is just around the corner! Let's work together to make it a fun, spooky and SAFE night for everyone in our neighbourhood!
๐ฌ For Trick-or-Treaters:
-Wear bright costumes or add reflective tape and glow sticks.
-Carry a flashlight and stay on well-lit streets.
-Cross at intersections and watch for vehicles.
-Travel in groups and have younger children accompanied by an adult.
-Have an adult check treats before enjoying them.
๐ก For Homeowners:
-Keep walkways, stairs and entrances well-lit and clear of obstacles.
-Secure pets indoors when greeting trick-or-treaters.
-Use battery-operated candles instead of open flames.
-Lock vehicles, garages and sheds, even when you're home.
๐ For Drivers:
-Slow down in residential areas.
-Watch for excited little ghosts and goblins crossing streets.
-Avoid distractions and use extra caution around parked vehicles.
๐ Let's Look Out for One Another!
A safe neighbourhood starts with neighbours who care.
