Camp FYrefly Alberta Camp fYrefly Calgary is a 4-day leadership retreat for le***an, gay, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, intersex, q***r and allied youth.

Camp fYrefly is Canada's largest leadership retreat for le***an, gay, bisexual, trans, two-spirit, intersex, asexual, q***r and allied youth. It is operated by the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services at the University of Alberta. Mission
The camp is designed to help youth develop the leadership skills and resiliency necessary for them to become change agents in their schools, families and communities. All of the camp workshops and guest speakers help youth to develop their very own fYrefly fuel designed to help them keep their inner light shining bright during dark times. Camp fYrefly participants vow to help fight against discrimination, prejudice and oppression in all of its many forms, and to help others in their time of greatest need.

Join us for an evening dedicated to connection, culture, and community. Meet like-minded folks in a fun and welcoming speed-friending format, inclusive to the entire 2S+LGBTQ+ community.

Doors open at 5:00 PM — Arrive early to grab a drink, enjoy food, and settle in before things get started. It’s the perfect time to relax, mingle casually, and get comfortable.
Main Event begins promptly at 7:00 PM — Speed-friending starts right on time! Expect guided rounds of conversation designed to help you connect with as many people as possible in a fun, welcoming environment.

Tickets are $10, which include a welcome cocktail or a zero-proof option.

Finding a safe space to connect and take care of your body can be a challenge as a trans person. This is why we offer free affirming yoga classes in partnership with Every Body Stronger.
