Seniors Life Centre Our vision is a world where every senior lives a life of dignity, abundance and joy, free from poverty and isolation.

Seniors Life Centre is a Calgary-based charity that improves the wellbeing of vulnerable seniors through a holistic care model that provides quality healthcare, builds community and ensures basic needs are met. We are working to build a permanent home for our seniors, where they will receive the highest standards of care alongside activities that enhance their emotional, social and physical wellbeing and give them hope for the future.

On this first week of Rwandan Commemoration, The SLC, we stand with all Rwandan to honour the lives lost during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. We stand in solidarity with survivors, families, and communities who continue to carry the weight of history with strength and resilience.

Kwibuka is not only about remembrance—it is a call to action. A reminder to reject hatred, to stand against injustice, and to build a future rooted in compassion, unity, and humanity.

Never again is not just a phrase. It is a responsibility we all share.

HELP US BRING COMFORT, DIGNITY, AND HOPE
TO RWANDA’S MOST VULNERABLE SENIORS.

This April marks 32 years since the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Many who survived were in the prime of their lives. Today, they are seniors who carry the weight of unimaginable loss. Many have no children, no family support, and no safe place to call home.
Thanks to the kindness of our donors, we have already taken a powerful first step: we purchased a piece of land outside Kigali where we will build a home for our most vulnerable beneficiaries, a place where they will be surrounded by compassion instead of loneliness, a place where they will feel seen, valued, and remembered.

Now, we are hoping to raise the funds needed to bring this vision to life.
