We spent ( ) with the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation!

Instead of the typical evening event, we gathered over 🍳 breakfast to hear from 🌟 inspiring women from different walks of life. Their stories moved us, challenged us, and reminded us why spaces like this matter.

While each speaker shared a unique journey, a common thread ran through their messages: 📈 representation is growing, but representation alone isn’t enough.

True progress requires something deeper. It requires the transfer of 💪 power, 🔗 trust, and ✒️ decision-making authority. Too often we celebrate women for their resilience without addressing the systems that require that very resilience in the first place.

If we’re serious about parity and gender equality, the next step isn’t just making space at the table. It’s sharing the power that shapes the table itself.

Thank you for this important conversation on .

At EWB, we’re all about action, and that includes showing up where it counts 💪 For years, we’ve worked to push for better policies and hold our leaders accountable, but real change starts with something simple: voting 🗳️

Last week, in partnership with the Engineers Without Borders - University of Calgary Chapter, we brought students together to talk about why youth votes matter, especially as Calgary heads into its municipal election.

Catch our recap and stick around till the end for a special message from Mayor Gondek 👀

If you can vote, don’t sit this one out. Tomorrow (Oct 20), make your voice heard and take that first step in shaping the future of our city.

As Calgary prepares to elect a new City Council this month, we're wondering, "Why are young Canadians—the most connected and globally minded generation—voting less than ever?"

Join us and the Engineers Without Borders - University of Calgary Chapter for a free screening of "The Drop" 🎬 a thought-provoking documentary on youth civic engagement. Let’s explore how local action fuels global change, and how youth voices can shape the future of our city and beyond.

We’re featured at the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation’s annual conference! 🤩🗞️

Thanks to their support, during , we took to the streets and campuses of Calgary and shocked everyone with newspapers from the future. Dated Jan 1, 2030, the headline read “WORLD HITS ZERO POVERTY” and we sparked conversations left and right about how fictitious or fateful that statement will be in less than 5 years.
