🪨❤️😎 We came, we saw, we found lots of fun treasures! It was a well attended CRLC Drumheller fieldtrip 🦖 on Saturday with perfect weather! Thank you Dr. Dave Gill 👍🌟 for coordinating & leading us on this trip to not just one but TWO rockhounding sites! It was so great to see so many new members out there joining in the adventure too!🌞

Admission to provincial museums and historic sites, including the Royal Tyrrell Museum, is free for Alberta Culture Days on September 26 & 27, 2026.

Note: tickets for admission and public programs for these dates will be available through walk-up sales only, subject to availability. All visitors, including members and other pass holders, will need to wait in the same line. High attendance may cause line-ups requiring visitors to wait outdoors, so come prepared for the weather conditions.

Dale Trenholm one of our very talented Club members (CRLC & AFRC) has created a rock library as a way to share his love of rocks & lapidary with his Alberta community! Dale is a professional educator so inside his rock library he is showing how a cabochon is made using rocks in the various rough to polished stages not to mention some of his polished rocks that he had created to give out. We would like to acknowledge Dale on bringing his wonderful & impressive idea to fruition and sharing it with the rest of the rock community! WOW! Quite a variety of projects happening at our Thursday night drop in! It was hosted by stewards Chris H. and Adam! Robert, David, Shane & Ryley were busy slabbing rocks. Robert, Christa & David worked on some cabochons. Adam helped Ryley set up the foredom so that she could do some more detailed work on her rocks. Dale N. worked on rings-lots of them! Christa also did some work on her fidget spinner ring that she previously made in Adam's class() on the polishing wheels-all shiny again!

For all those that were gifted tomato plants by Rebecca at the club bbq: a box at the club has been created for you to drop off your tomato pots. She want to use them again next year. The box is near the back door on the wooden shelf. Thank you! 🍅😊🍅
