ANNOUNCEMENT! ANNOUNCEMENT! (ANNOUNCEMENT?) YES, ANNOUNCEMENT!
PPF is going for non-profit status, and we're seeking board members and a new Festival Director!
Due to the intention of the festival to present, promote, and celebrate primarily BIPOC, women, and q***r / trans poets working across a variety of poetic styles, we would especially love to receive expressions of interest and CVs from members of those communities for these positions.
We also seek an energetic, poetry-passionate, talented, and appropriate new Festival Director to work alongside the new board. Candidates do not need experience running a festival, but events experience is essential. The current director is willing to remain with the organization as volunteer festival assistant for the next festival if desired by the successful candidate.
Please note that at this time, these positions are all unpaid, volunteer positions. (Another reason to step it up and go for grants!).
PPF will likely take a hiatus in 2024 to lay the groundwork for an excellent new festival in 2025, in the humble and honoured service of poets, poetry lovers, and the poetry-curious.
