We had an amazing time last night with CDLI Calgary hosting Civic Threads! We learned about municipal-level political engagement with former city councillor Courtney Walcott explored Artivism with Tyson, and made lasting connections with community workers and advocates from all walks of life. The central art piece is a die 🎲 featuring the different sides of grit, strength, community we all need to draw on in our day to day to navigate the modern landscape. We hear it over and over - it's exhausting, but it's meaningful. Taking care of community before, during, and after advocacy helps us avoid burnout and keep at it for the long run.
