The Executive of Christian Pastoral Caregivers Association offers you this final message of thanks and appreciation.
Thank you for your many years of support, engagement and encouragement of CPCA. It has been a grace-filled journey of Faith, Hope and Love! Your support and engagement has allowed us to touch the hearts of so many people and to enrich both their faith and the awareness of their calling through their Baptism to participate in the “Shepherding of God’s Holy People”. This is an awesome call and such a personal and enriching ministry, in and for the Mystical Body of Christ.
Our journey together has allowed us to collaborate with so many wonderful people and organizations including Rocky Mountain Christian College, who partnered with us to give our courses accreditation and recognition. The many presenters who have enriched our faith life with their expertise and wisdom have been a tremendous grace and blessing to us all. The collective wisdom they have shared with us has encouraged, stretched and validated our own personal call to this ministry and service to God’s Kingdom, especially serving the most vulnerable amongst us. So, at the end of our CPCA journey we give all Praise and Honour to the Lord our God for having brought forth such abundant fruitfulness within our ministry.
We held the annul AGM last month, and this week we wrapped up our formal business with a motion to dissolve the Association.
As a result, the CPCA website and this page will be shut down as of May 15, 2024.
We also moved to donate all our financial assets to the Calgary Food Bank. We felt this was the most practical way for our funds to be used, for those among us most in need.
We encourage you to continue to pursue and foster your vocation as a Pastoral Care Minister in your congregation. Know that many denominations are offering ongoing pastoral care courses and enrichment opportunities. We hope that our paths may cross as we continue to journey together in a new way.
