Haysboro residents have been invited to participate in a Sports Sampler Day: An Opportunity to Try a New Sport!

Free and for all ages.

An opportunity to try Zumba, martial arts, soccer and basketball with a coach from Sport Calgary.

Based on interest of participants, Sport Calgary could offer a 4 – 6 week class on one of the sports offered at this sampler activity.

We’re looking for volunteers to help clean up and refresh four community gardens to get them ready to shine this summer 🌷.

📧 Email [email protected], sharing which garden you’d like to work on (listed below). Feel free to choose more than one if you’re up for it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Please bring your gloves, any gardening tools you prefer, and perhaps a new addition (plant, rock, stump, etc.) that could help revitalize the space (completely optional)!

The HCA & the City of Calgary are excited to host a Haysboro Community Cleanup 🧹 and we need volunteers to make the event successful! The Community Cleanup event allows Haysboro residents to drop off items for landfill 🗑️, recycling ♻️ & donation 🛍️ FOR FREE. If you or anyone you know can volunteer for a few hours, please share this post with them!

🗓️ May 31, 2026
📍HCA Parking lot

Volunteers are needed to:
• Direct traffic along 89th Ave
• Assist at the entrance/exit
• Help unload vehicles
• Oversee volunteer check-in, snack area & First Aid support

Volunteers required from 8:30am - 1:30pm in two shifts.
🪏 Shift 1: 🕛 8:30am to 11am
🪏 Shift 2: 🕛 11am to 1:30pm
