PARENT AND CAREGIVER MEET-UP RETURNS TO THE ICA

Stay-at-home parents and caregivers, this one is for you. Come on down to the skate shack every other Tuesday starting June 23 for a casual chat with other parents of babies and toddlers.

Drop-in at your convenience between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. No fees or registration required.

Dress code: dirty hair and sweat pants or whatever you've been wearing for the last 3 days.

Registration for the 2026 Parade of Garage Sales (POGS) is open!

Register your yard or garage sale with the ICA to receive an official Inglewood POGS sign and to have your address included on both the print and digital maps.

Register at https://inglewood.getcommunal.com/member/parent_programs/3747, print and mail in the pdf in this post, or pop into the ICA office to sign up in-person.

✨containR Announcement✨

Meet containR Commons—our weekly free family friendly series from 3-5pm on Thursdays. Starting on June 25th and running till September 10th, come on down to the site each week for activities including sing-alongs, guided crafts, family dance parties, gymnastic performances, and much more!

Our first activation features a kite-making workshop on June 25th. Come with friends or family, enjoy the outdoor weather, and go home with your own handmade kite! Starting at the end of June, keep an eye out at the beginning of each week to see what free programming will be offered that Thursday.

Please note: Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Reminder: Tomorrow night is an Open House with the City of Calgary to discuss the current Local Area Plan (no registration required).

Date: Thursday, June 11, 2026

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (drop in anytime)

Location: City of Calgary Water Centre (625 25 Avenue SE) - Bow River Meeting Room (directional signage to the Bow River Meeting room will be onsite). Free parking is available in the in the lot directly at the front entrance of the building*. If this lot is full, you may use the parking lot adjacent (west side of building) which is free as well.

COURSE CANCELLED

From the ICA and CWCSA, we are excited to present another opportunity for local kids to take a Child Safe Canada course focused on skills for being home alone safely.

Being home alone can be an uncomfortable and unsafe situation without the skills to manage. This program prepares youth for being home alone safely by giving them an overview of what to expect and how to respond to common problems. Children will learn household and appliance safety, coming and going home safely, first aid responsibilities, confidence, and more.
