Centennial High School Council & Centennial High Parent Society School councils have legislated advisory and decision-making authority. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council.

One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council. Under the School Act, a school coun

cil is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school. They are different from Parent Societies & Associations, whose main function is to raise funds for the school. Centennial High Parent Society
One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Under the School Act, a parent society is a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. The school principal is not part of this group.
