The lake temperature has dropped below 10ยฐC, meaning the lake is officially CLOSED for the season.

Lake is closed for watercrafts and swimming | Fishing is permitted from the fishing dock | Cold water conditions in effect

For everyoneโ€™s safety, please stay out of the water and off the lake. As we wrap up another lake season, we kindly ask that all personal items be removed from all lake accessways.

Due to a substantial increase in registrations overnight, attendance at tonightโ€™s AGM will now be limited to ONE voting member per household to ensure we remain within our fire code capacity.

We understand that more than one member of some households had planned to attend, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this adjustment to safely accommodate as many households as possible.

๐Ÿ“ฃ AGM ATTENDEES โ€” A QUICK HEADS-UP!

Weโ€™re expecting a great turnout for tomorrow eveningโ€™s AGM! With a high number of residents registered to attend, weโ€™ll be opening the doors early at 6:00 p.m. to get a head start on check-in.

A few important things to know before you arrive:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please enter through the park and make your way down to the skate changeroom for check-in. Staff will be stationed along the way to help direct you.

๐Ÿชช Have your photo ID ready when you reach the check-in area to help keep the process moving as quickly and smoothly as possible.

โฐ Please arrive early! With the number of attendees expected, giving yourself a little extra time for check-in will help us get everyone settled before the meeting begins.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day โ€” a day to honour the Indigenous children who never came home, recognize the experiences of Residential School Survivors and their families, and reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools.

There are many ways we can take part in reconciliation:

๐Ÿงก Learn โ€” Take some time to learn about Indigenous histories, cultures, and languages. Understanding the lasting impact of residential schools helps all of us contribute to reconciliation.

๐Ÿงก Listen โ€” Seek out and listen to the stories and experiences of Survivors and Indigenous communities.

๐Ÿงก Reflect โ€” Consider what reconciliation means and how we can contribute to creating a more understanding and respectful future.

๐Ÿงก Wear orange โ€” Wearing orange on September 30 is one way to show your support for Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home.

We encourage our Auburn Bay community to take some time this September 30 to learn, listen, reflect, and remember.
