Posted • Benzodiazepine is a pharmaceutical drug that is seeing an increased presence in the illicit market here in Canada. Normally used for sleeping disorders, seizure disorders or anxiety disorders benzodiazepines are being seen on the illicit market mixed with fentanyl. The best way for us to curb this issue before it becomes another crisis would be the implementation of safer supply programs and drug-checking services. However, we can all assist in improving outcomes by becoming educated on what Benzodiazepines are, and this post is an introduction to that very topic.
