BOTTLE DRIVE
Did you have holiday gatherings?
Host dinners with family and friends.
We can help with your empties!
Collection Dates:
Tuesday January 14 &
Thursday January 16, 2025
Location:
At the base – follow the signs, pylons
and directions from our volunteers for
drop off before cadets.
Facts:
We earn 10 cents per can and 25 cents per bottle
which adds to creating fantastic experiences for our
cadets.
Alternate Options:
1. If you wish to use ‘’Skip-the-Depot’, use link on our website; - https://www.nlccalgary.ca/
to access registration for ‘Skip-the-Depot’.
‘Skip-the-Depot’ will come to your house to collect your empty!
All you need to do is -Sign up, book a collection and donate your return to Navy League of Canada –
Calgary Branch.
2. You are also welcome to drop your bags of empty bottles beside the trailer on site after
cadets*

Good day, UNDAUNTED and Captain Jackson Families!

Happy New Year and welcome to the new families that have joined since the beginning of this year.

We have a few updates to start off the year:
FUNDRAISING:

Bottle Drives:
We will be running bottle drives next week on January 14 and January 16, 2025.
Bottles can be dropped off with our volunteers when cadets are dropped off or can be dropped off at the trailer next to the Annex building throughout the evening.

Please see the attached document for further instructions and information.

Cookie Dough:
• We still have available additional cookie dough for sale.
• They came in a variety of flavors, and formats. Come over to the Annex on any training evening for purchase.
• Cost of $20 per pack.

Bingos:
We appreciate all of those who have signed up and attended bingos already this year. We need additional parents to assist with our February 16 bingo and beyond. Urgently needed are volunteers with backroom experience. If you or someone you know has experience in the backroom and are able to assist, please respond to this email or sign up via the link below:

• Smoking is permitted in designated areas only

What not to do:
• Bring your own food or drinks (both will be paid for by us)-
• Do not gamble before or during your shift –
• Do not drink alcohol before or during your shift
• Please be aware that anyone 18+ and not a cadet is welcome to volunteer (please ensure you have ID).
• Thank you in advance for supporting our Bingos.

Bingo Volunteer positions needed:
• We also need some backup volunteers in the event of a last-minute book off on different dates.
• Please indicate if you have back-room experience in the comments, if you are able to sign up for backup.
• If you would like more information about Bingos, or have any questions, please reach out to connect with a board member, or please come to the Annex building on any training evening to connect with a board member in person.

CANTEEN:
You are welcome to reach out to our Canteen Coordinator: Jelena and her team, at the Annex on any training evening to prepay for refreshments for your cadets.
