The Calgary Salvadorian Folklore Association was excited to kick off 2026 at the Taste of Nations Festival in Airdrie! ✨️🙌
On Saturday, January 24, the second edition of the Taste of Nations Festival welcomed hundreds of Airdrietians to the Town and Country Centre. This lively, multicultural event offers a wonderful chance to experience, learn about, and celebrate diverse cultures from around the world, creating a warm sense of community and belonging.
For the second year, the Calgary Salvadoran Folklore Association was delighted to participate, sharing its vibrant folklore dances performed by the Folklore Salvadoreño dance group. They showcased beautiful performances like "Las Comaleras, Cachiporras, and Cumbia Salvadoreña." Visitors also enjoyed FREE Pupusas and tasty Horchata de Morro at our display pavilion, where they immersed themselves in El Salvador's rich culture and sampled delicious traditional foods.
We're truly proud to take part in such lively festivals, bringing meaningful cultural experiences to our community and inviting everyone to explore, learn, and connect with El Salvador.
A big thank you to the Taste of Nations for welcoming us back!
Stay tuned for more upcoming events where we’ll be participating
