A packed room in Edmonton tonight for Building Strong Boards Through Effective Governance!

Thank you to our exceptional panelists Mona Hale, Dr. Verna Yiu and Leon Zupan, and our moderator Kim Drever, for sharing their insights on intentional board composition, strategic oversight, accountability and continuous evaluation.

The thoughtful discussion and energy in the room reinforced the importance of strong, future ready governance and the value of bringing leaders together to learn from one another.

Last night, Board Ready Women brought together an exceptional group of governance leaders for Leading Through Change: The Board’s Role in CEO Succession.

The conversation explored one of a board’s most consequential responsibilities: guiding an organization through a planned or unexpected CEO transition. From succession planning and stakeholder communication to the evolving relationship between the Board Chair and CEO, the discussion highlighted the importance of preparation, sound judgment and strong interpersonal leadership during periods of change.

Thank you to our panellists, Patty McLeod, Curtis Stange and Byron Neiles, for sharing their experience and insights. We are also grateful to our moderator, Amanda Waldie, and presenter, Ryan Resch, for helping lead such a thoughtful and timely discussion.
