Light Returned to a Family’s Life
Mohammad Lokman Ali — a resilient man in his sixties from Daldali village, Bholahat, Chapainawabganj district.
He used to earn a living by operating a battery-powered van. Life had been tough enough, but a serious eye condition forced him to sell his van’s battery to cover medical expenses.
Though he regained his eyesight, he lost his means of livelihood.
In this desperate time, he reached out to Bibek Aid Foundation for help.
Upon field verification, it was found that four batteries and fitting costs — totaling about 32,500 BDT — were needed to get his van operational again.
The matter was shared within our network, and a kind-hearted sister living in Germany generously contributed her zakat to cover the cost.
With this support, four new batteries were purchased, fittings were completed, and Mohammad Lokman Ali’s van was revived.
Today, he can once again earn a living and bring back hope and smiles to his family.
The photos capture the journey — installation of batteries, handover of the support money, fitting into the van, and finally a courageous Mohammad Lokman Ali ready to ride again.
A small act of kindness can transform an entire family’s future.
Let’s stand together for many more like Lokman Ali, and bring back the light to their lives.
