Our very first nomination under Sab Connections, and we were honored to be shortlisted for the Youth Leadership category at the Alberta Emerald Foundation Awards.

Being nominated alongside incredible organizations like the Calgary Zoo and the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance was already a huge achievement. To be in a room filled with passionate changemakers working to create a more sustainable Alberta was truly inspiring.

Who would have thought that adding a simple plant station to our community events would grow into something so meaningful? Through our Let's Get Planting! initiative, we've planted plants, engaged hundreds of families, and helped children learn that even small actions can make a positive impact on the environment.

This recognition belongs to every volunteer, family, youth leader, and community member who has supported our journey. Thank you for believing that environmental stewardship can start with something as simple as planting a seed. We're excited to keep growing, learning, and creating opportunities for families to connect with nature and each other. 🌱💚

Such a fun and meaningful day at the Girl Guide Rally with 💜
We had hundreds of Sparks and Guides stopping by - asking what a period is, opening tampons, learning about menstrual cups, and asking all the best questions.
Breaking the stigma one conversation at a time… and loving the energy from these future leaders! ✨
(Also… best t-shirt ever—we are now the bloody legends 😄)

Walked into The GenNext 2026 inspired…
Left reflecting on what success truly means..

Through United Way of Calgary and Area and GenNEXT, I saw how powerful it is when young leaders are given the space to make a difference.

And it made me realize,
success isn’t about what I achieve alone.
It’s about the people I uplift along the way.

If one day my kids carry that same value of kindness, compassion, and purpose… I’ll be beyond happy.

📍 Big Four Building, Stampede Park
A large-scale celebration of the sisterhood of Guiding held every three years! This year’s theme is “Ignite the Spirit – Connect, Challenge, Celebrate,” bringing together ~3,000 participants.
👉 Help with activities, booths & event support

📅 June 20 – Community Fiesta (Neighbor Day Event)
📍 Prairie Winds Park
An inclusive, fun-filled celebration featuring Zumba, food, games, arts & crafts, and more!
👉 Perfect for those who love community events & outdoor fun

📅 August 27 – 2026 Backpack Program
📍 Temple Community Association
Help us distribute fully stocked backpacks (school supplies, snacks, hygiene items) to families in need 🎒
👉 Assist with setup, distribution & kids’ stations

📅 December 20 – 2026 Seasons of Smile
📍 Monterey Community Association
A heartwarming holiday initiative providing winter essentials and holiday cheer for kids ❄️
👉 Help create a joyful, festive experience for families
