I’m a frontline social worker and long-time union member who believes strongly in transparent leadership, strong support for members, and meaningful relationships that help us advocate for healthcare workers across Alberta.

Update on Mediator's Recommendations

Attention HSAA members under the AHS collective agreement: Your union has continued to push for a return to formal bargaining. While October dates were discussed, AHS has now said they’re not available until November 12–14.

We’re disappointed in this delay especially after public statements claiming that bargaining was ongoing. In the meantime, HSAA will keep up the pressure for a better deal and continue raising awareness about the vital work our members do for Albertans. Stay tuned for updates and ways to get involved.

Attention HSAA members under the AHS collective agreement: Your Union met with the provincial government and Alberta Health Services following our strong display of solidarity on the Day of Unity rallies. Both sides have agreed to return to the bargaining table, with formal mediation expected to resume in late October.
