Tomorrow I’m going to walk 5k more in support of Melanoma.
I will walk for all the beautiful souls who lives have been stolen, like Bethany who died at only 11 years old. I will walk for Jessica (daughter of a family friend) who was 29 when her family lost her. I will walk for Julia who was 31 and was pregnant when diagnosed. And mostly, I will walk for my twin sister Candace who was 45.
Melanoma has a 99% survival rate with early detection.
I have chosen to support Melanoma Canada in the annual Strides Event. They provide direct support to patients and caregivers, which both my sister and I have used. They are also instrumental on providing information on prevention, early detection and treatment.
