Our sincere appreciation goes to the instructors at Top Rock. Our Troop gained a thorough understanding of safety rules for climbing, bouldering, belaying, and the proper use and adjustment of climbing harnesses. We explored different climbing methods, including single-pitch, multi-pitch, top-rope, lead climbing, and seconding. Our youth then applied their skills on the auto-belay and bouldering walls, tackling various climbing routes. The youth also acquired new knot skills, including the figure-8, figure-8 follow-through, and the fisherman's knot as a stopper knot. Well done, Troop, on achieving your Vertical Skills Level 3 OAS badges!
