Valleywood Resident Association

Valleywood Resident Association Valleywood Residents Association (VRA) in Caledon was founded in 1998 by a group of individuals who were new to the neighbourhood.

Valleywood Resident Association (VRA) in Caledon was founded in 1998 by a group of individuals who were new to the neighbourhood and wanted to form a medium for exchanging views with respect to the ever growing community. This suggestion spurred the first VRA meeting, held on Valecrest Court. After several months the founding group elected a president and thus was born the VRA, a Registered Non Pr

ofit Organization serving the community of Valleywood. Those founding ten members could not have foreseen the strength and longevity of the VRA. The purpose of the VRA has remained unchanged from its very beginning; striving to promote unity, acceptance and safety within our community, enhancing and improving existing facilities, and becoming a vibrant voice in order to enhance the overall living environment. Today, the VRA has a captivated audience in excess of 2500 residents. In addition to our annual events such as the Corn Fest, Wagon Rides and Garage Sales, the VRA is keeping pace with our community evolution by launching regular updates on our web site. As in the the past, we welcome everyone's feedback and encourage all residents to attend the regular meetings where they can voice their concerns. Together, we can make a difference.

We are all feeling the pinch of rising food and gas prices and if you listen to the news its going to get worse before it gets better. Did you know that the previous Town counsel gave themselves a 24+% pay raise??!
Our current counsel will be voting tomorrow to repeal the raise - a vote driven by our new Mayor Annette Groves.
While most of us hope to receive a 2 to 3% cost of living raise (if we are lucky), our representatives are making sure they don't feel the same anxiety.
Call your counsellors and let them know how you feel about this topic.
