We are excited to continue our veteran banner project once again this year!

We hope over the past couple of years you have enjoyed seeing the veteran banners displayed around the Town of Cabri. If you have a family member that you would like to honour with a banner, please email Lion Page Newton with the details by June 15, 2026. This will allow enough time to have the banner created and put up before Cabri Daze!

New members! 🌟

On Saturday April 11, we held our 67th Annual Charter Night evening at the Cabri Hall. We are very excited to have 4 new members join our club this year! MD5 District Governor Page Newton and Second Vice District Governor Blair Nixon inducted our new members, Sam, Ty, Toks and Peter and welcomed them into the lions family! 🦁

We are excited to have you all be a part of the Cabri District Lions Club!

Our club is always looking for new members to join - if you or anyone you know would like to join or you think would be a great lion, then please reach out to a lion or through our social media pages. Are you someone who is interested in supporting our community, bringing new and innovative ideas to the table, wanting to help others and make our community a better place to live? Want to come and find out what lions is all about? We meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday in the Lions Den (located in the Cabri Community Hall) @ 6:30pm!

Cabri District Lions Club March Recap ☘️

In March, we hosted our annual St.Patrick’s Day Stew Cook Off at the Cabri Hall! 12 delicious stews were entered into the competition with half of them being donated by community members and the other half cooked by members of the club. A big thank you to everyone who donated a stew!

Our resident band - Jim, Rueben and Tom - kept us singing and toe tapping 🥁

A big thank you to and with for donation of door prizes for adults and kids! 🏆

Winners of the different stew categories were as follows:

Tastiest Stew - Liz Gossard
Most Original Stew - David Higginbotham
Spiciest Stew - David Higginbotham
Meatiest Stew - Page Newton
Most Unique Stew - Gabriel Zbuska

Congratulations! They each received a voucher to a local business in town 🎉

Lastly, we also received an amazing amount of food bank donations for the .foodbankswiftcurrent - thank you Cabri and surrounding communities!

Unfortunately due to the warmer weather we are having, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Fishing Derby. 🎣

The integrity of the ice on the river is unknown and not currently safe enough to be driven on with vehicles or for ice shacks. Thank you again to all of our wonderful sponsors and donors - any prizes that have been donated for this years Derby will be held onto for next years! Please spread the word 🦁
