That’s a wrap on our Dream Camp in Burns Lake, BC! 🤠✨

Over three unforgettable days, we connected with an incredible group of young Indigenous entrepreneurs who showed us just how bright the future is. From team building to business building, they brought bold ideas, creativity, and courage to every challenge.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsor, Burns Lake Native Development Corporation, and community representatives John Nooski and Chantal Tom for your continued support and presence throughout the weekend, this camp wouldn’t have been possible without you.

We’re honoured to have received a traditional welcome from Elder Anthony (Patty) Tom, whose words and presence grounded our celebration in culture and community.

A huge thank you to our guest judges, Ojay Matias (Cheslatta Contracting Ltd), Mark Morris (BLNDC Executive), Valerie Anderson (Chinook Community Forest) and Betty Patrick (Lake Babine Nation) for taking the time to encourage and uplift our young entrepreneurs.

To our caterers, Chantal Tom & Sam Tom, Ronnie Marshall, Angelika Posselt, Anastasia Troy, Luc Bouchard, and John Nooski, thank you for preparing such a meaningful and delicious community dinner for our graduation celebration.

Led by CEO Broden Posselt, COO Tristan Prince, President of Marketing & Director of Social Impact Marcel Alec, and CFO Danica Alec, this powerhouse team pitched a bold vision for a western apparel brand rooted in tradition, resilience, and community spirit.

From logo to launch plan, Cowboy Up wowed the judges with their creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial drive. 🔥

The BC First Nations Justice Council invites all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis residing on Wet'suwet'en homelands, a traditional gathering place now home to the Ts'il Kaz Koh, Nee-Tahi-Buhn, Wet'suwet'en, Skin Tyee, Lake Babine, and Cheslatta First Nations, to join them at their newly established Burns Lake Indigenous Justice Centre and learn more about their offerings to the community.

There will be snacks, refreshments, and an opportunity to meet their team, learn more about their services and how they support the community!
