To everyone who has donated, volunteered, spread the word, partnered with us or simply believes every child should have books of their own: thank you.
Because of you, since 2018 over 230 children in the Lakes District have graduated from the program at age 5 with their bookshelves full of beautiful books. Currently, 140 local children under 5 receive a free book every month. To date, that is almost 11,000 books in the hands of local kids, at a total cost of over $40,000! Your generosity has helped bring the joy of reading into homes, spark imaginations and create special moments between children and the people who love them.
Dolly often called her Local Imagination Library Partners the “true heroes” of her program. We’re so grateful to have a community that continues that spirit of giving.
