HELLO PMI Vancouver Toastmasters,
Our next meeting is a test to experiment how we as a club can execute a Hybrid Toastmasters meeting in PMI way.

Our next meeting is scheduled for October 28th, 2021 and will be a hybrid meeting.

New Meeting Location: St Johns Ambulance 6111 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC
(Free Parking, Close to Oakridge Station Canada Line)
Membership Update 11 Members renewed.
Eventbrite will ask if to confirm if you will be attending the meeting in-person or as an online attendee.
In person tickets will be limited. (See below for additional information regarding the in-person meeting.
The speaking spaces for this meeting have been filled,
We have need of the following roles which can be filled by members online, or in-person:
- Toastmaster,
- timer,
- general evaluator,
- 1 speech evaluator, and
- 1 table topics evaluator.
There are additional roles in the agenda which will be introduced during this meeting as well.
Club Members, please reply to this email to confirm which roles you are able to take on the agenda which has been updated on Easy_Speak.
Guests are permitted to take on roles, but first priority is club members.
The meeting agenda will be emailed to all confirmed attendees prior to the meeting.

FEATURE PRESENTATION Details:
Markus Van Aardt who is affiliated with Ryerson University as a Communication Skills Instructor in the Raymond G Chang business school will be presenting a 15 minute presentation called "Relationship building through compelling conversations”. This presentation should provide some valuable opportunities for discussion to help us thrive as a club came to help our members grow.
I will open the Zoom room early so members can chat before the meeting starts. The meeting should start promptly at 7:10 pm.

IMPORTANT!!
For the in-person portion of the meeting we will be following the current guidelines for health and safety as directed by the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (CDC) requirements for social distancing, masks, and vaccine status for public events.
- Mask’s are required
- Must be fully vaccinated (2 Doses) mandatory
- Vaccination Card & Photo ID mandatory
- Temperature check mandatory
All attendee’s for this meeting will be required to fill in a self assessment form and provide basic contact information for contact tracing in the unlikely event a Covid19 outbreak occurs.
I know this seems a little over the top for a simple Toastmaster’s meeting, but this is the new norm going forward.
Detailed directions to the In-Person Meeting Space will be provided with the eventbrite confirmation email, as well as the Zoom Meeting ID and meeting access link for the online meeting.
We look forward to welcoming the club back into a physical space, and are excited to work to bring the Hybrid experience to the next level!!
