WOW 🤯 We're still reflecting on our time at and we are still so grateful for all the support!! The chat was continuously active even during the breaks, and even though it was a jam-packed day, seeing and hearing from attendees in the discussion groups was a big highlight for us.

As mentioned in the closing, was created from passion, so once again, thank you to all who attended and, of course, to our partner who helped make the summit so successful! ❤️

A typical day of monitoring at SFU! 🪶

Have you seen similar signs of window collisions at your local campus? Sometimes, they can be hard to spot when you're not sure what to look for. These photos show some examples of what buildings birds may collide with as well as some possible signs of predation and window smears from impact. 🔎

📚 Learn from Others 📚

Bird safe initiatives bring people together and allows us to share how bird-window collisions are an issue but easily preventable. With adding artistic retrofits to the University of Windsor, it attracted much attention, especially from decision makers and staff who did not know that this was an issue. The revealing of this art mural permitted the bird safe team to have discussions with staff and students about the birds we are lucky to share the campus with and how important they are. We also succeeded in adding “making the campus a bird-friendly space” as a key objective in the new Sustainability Framework 2024-2029.
