"May this Christmas bring warmth, joy, and blessings to those who build the foundations of our world. To all carpenters and scaffolders, thank you for your hard work and craftsmanship. May your holidays be as strong and sturdy as the structures you create, and may the New Year bring you safety, success, and happiness. Merry Christmas!"

This has been another great year for CMAW and for LOCAL 1995. Our organization has worked tirelessly to bring quality employment opportunities for our members on a local and provincial level.
With the Patullo Bridge replacement project getting the green light, the project will be a massive undertaking. There will be employment for 150 carpenters and apprentices at its peak. This project is slated to begin in the fall of 2019, with a massive ramp up in workers commencing in the spring of 2020.
Site C Dam project is going strong. The project, located just outside Fort St. John, continues to draw skilled tradespersons from all over BC. There continues to be a high demand for ticketed Red Seal Journeyperson carpenters.
The LNG project up in Kitimat is having its camp set up by our brothers and sisters from the Kitimat Local 1081. We’ll keep everyone posted on the progress.
The Parkland refinery located in Burnaby is also gearing up. There is a shutdown to take place in early 2020. More skilled scaffolders and apprentices will be required.
CMAW Local 1995 is always on the lookout for skilled carpenters, scaffolders, and apprentices. We will be offering upgrading programs to our members, helping them get the necessary required documents for specific jobs, and to help them enroll with a certified apprenticeship program.
We’re also offering great wages and a phenominal benefits and pension package. If this interests you, send your resumes and cover letter to [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you. Should you have any questions feel free to call the hall at 604 437-0491.
