CMAW Local 506 recently held a Golf Tournament.

On June 13, 2026, CMAW Local 506 held its golf tournament at Guildford Golf and Country Club.

We had a wonderful turnout. The weather was just perfect and an overall excellent day out on the course with members, friends, and supporters.

Unfortunately, no one walked away with the $25,000 hole-in-one pize, but there is always next year.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the tournament such a great success.

Today is International Youth Day!

The future of the skilled trades depends on the next generation, but it's built on the knowledge, craftsmanship, and mentorship of those who came before.
We're proud to support aspiring carpenters through Toolbox to Trades, helping participants develop practical skills, earn industry certifications, and take their first step toward a rewarding career.

To every apprentice, mentor, journeyperson, and instructor, thank you for building tomorrow. If you're interested in learning more about Toolbox to Trades, check out our website! We will be in South Slocan and Prince George this year.

CMAW Training Society had an awesome group of students in Vernon this spring/summer! We hope our students always have fun while learning with us. Toolbox to Trades is currently underway in Terrace and will be heading to South Slocan on September 28 and Prince George on November 23.

CMAW member Brian Angus is putting his skills to work in the community.

Brian has been helping with the build at the Gitsegukla Majagaleehl Headstart nursery playground, contributing to a beautiful play structure that brings together craftsmanship, culture, and community.

The finished work showcases incredible detail and care, creating a meaningful space where children can learn, play, and grow.

Great work, Brian, and congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.
