🏆 GRANVILLE ISLAND TURKEY TROT MALE CHAMPION: REUBEN PIENAAR

Only 16 years old and already making moves! Congratulations to Reuben Pienaar on taking 1st place at the Granville Island Turkey Trot 10K with an incredible time of 33:33, finishing a full 3 minutes ahead of the next runner. 👏

Running with West Van Track & Field Club, Reuben had some extra motivation along the course: “From 6KM onwards, there were so many people cheering, it was so great to see.”

🏆 GRANVILLE ISLAND TURKEY TROT FEMALE WINNER: KELLY HELLMAN

Big congrats to Kelly Hellman for taking home 1st place at this year’s Granville Island Turkey Trot 10K with a time of 39:43! 🦃👏

Kelly’s a triathlete, so she knows a thing or two about pushing herself. But there’s something special about race day and the energy of running alongside others.

“It’s a great race and something nice to do in Vancouver on Thanksgiving Monday. Doing a race brings the best out of you. If I ran a 10KM on my own, I wouldn’t have run as fast.“

Way to go, Kelly, and thanks for spending your Thanksgiving Monday with us! 🧡
