Annual General Meeting
Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11 am
As you all know, we are a not-for-profit Society in BC, and are required to have an Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year. This year's AGM is set for Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11 am in classroom 2.
Everyone is invited to attend and discuss the Society's business. The Agenda will include:
1. Approval of the Agenda
2. Approval of the Minutes of the 2025 AGM
3. Financial Report and Approval of the Budget for 2026
4. Election of the Directors
5. Any other Business
Currently, we need at least 3 or 4 new Directors to run the Society for the coming year. Any member can stand for election. All Board members are volunteers. Specifically we need volunteers for the following positions:
President: Overall, runs the board.
Treasurer: Manages finances, including bank deposits, cheque writing, bookkeeping and annual reportings.
Registrar: Maintains the membership list and sends emails to all members.
Instructor Coordinator and Scheduler: Recruits volunteer instructors and plans the schedule for each term (Fall, Winter, Spring)
Additional volunteers to help with publicity, community events, fundraising and similar activities are also welcome.
Please think about how you could help run the Society, and plan to attend the AGM on Thursday, June 25th. Thank you.
