Service to the Association Award β€” Willa Cheng, Director of Tournaments & Team Safety

Congratulations to Willa Cheng, recipient of our Service to the Association Award! Willa is volunteering as the Director of Tournaments on the Executive Committee which is an enormous undertaking and has done a marvelous job helping run and coordinate the RDT tournament. The Wildcats additionally ran the very first Burnaby Takedown tournament for U7/U9 divisions this season which received positive feedback from participants.

Willa also volunteers as a safety person on the U13A1 team. Furthermore, she has been a significant resource to the coach of the U13A1 team in communicating with the parent group and just being helpful in any way possible. Her dedication shows up at every level of the Wildcats.

Thank you, Willa, for your incredible service.

Behind every successful hockey season is a team of volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes β€” and we would likt to shine a spotlight on our incredible Division Managers.

While coaches and team managers are often recognized at year-end celebrations, Division Managers quietly handle countless hours of scheduling, organizing, problem-solving, communication, and support that help keep our divisions running smoothly all season long.

Thank you for everything you do for our players, families, coaches, and association. Your dedication, leadership, and volunteer spirit do not go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for the impact you make both on and off the ice.

Congratulations to all of our Division Managers recognized at this year’s volunteer banquet!
