June is Indigenous History Month in Canada, and this weekend we look ahead to National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st.

Cameray Child and Family Services recognizes and celebrates the history, heritage, and resilience of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada.

For generations, many Indigenous groups and communities have celebrated their culture and heritage on June 21st due to the significance of the summer solstice as the longest day of the year.

Head to New Westminster Public Library to learn more about Indigenous people and culture through their book recommendations: http://newwestminster.bibliocommons.com/v2/list/display/324162930/1652034189
