Brotherhood, family, compassion and service to others are in our foundation! 22 Hospitals across North America provide children who have orthopaedic plus other, specific medical conditions with world class treatment regardless of the family’s ability to pay. The Shriners are known for their children’s hospitals throughout Canada, USA and Mexico, specializing in orthopaedic / neuromusculoskeletal c

onditions, burn injuries plus other special healthcare conditions such as bone tumours, cleft lip or palate etc. The care environment is compassionate, family-centered and collaborative. Even if your child’s condition is not one that we specialize in, contact us to see what we can do. For those children in BC and Yukon requiring attention for any of the specialty conditions we treat, transportation, accommodation, and all associated medical treatment (including follow-up) are provided at Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners Care for Kids new patient referral coordinators are a toll-free call away and can usually accommodate a child within two weeks for assessment followed soon after with treatment. Shriners Care for Kids offers free transportation options for a child and accompanying parent or caregiver. Options can be: reimbursement of fuel expense for the use of own vehicles; travel on our Care Cruisers; or by air for areas not practically available to our Care Cruisers. Our Care for Kids program is open to children requiring assessment and treatment at BC Children’s, BC Women’s or Sunny Hill Hospitals in Vancouver, or at any Shriners Hospital for Children.

❤️ This is what Gizeh Shriners is all about. 🎩

After seeing CTV News’ story about 16-year-old Dillyn from Victoria, who has been waiting more than two years for scoliosis surgery at BC Children’s Hospital—only to have her surgery pushed into next year—Gizeh Shriners of BC & Yukon stepped up to help. ❤️

Through the Shriners Children’s healthcare system, Dillyn has been offered the opportunity to receive the surgery she needs, with the cost of her care fully covered. 🏥❤️

For more than a century, Shriners have helped connect children and families with life-changing medical care, regardless of their ability to pay. 🌎

Sometimes making a difference starts simply by seeing a child who needs help and asking:

“What can we do?” ❤️

If you weren’t in Kimberley this weekend… you truly missed something special. ❤️🏔️

The 2026 Pacific Northwest Shrine Association Summer Convention was everything the Shrine is about—friendship, fellowship, family, and fun. 🤝❤️ From the moment everyone arrived, the energy was contagious. There were laughs that echoed through the mountains, hugs between friends old and new, incredible events, unforgettable conversations, amazing food, exciting parades, and countless memories made. 🚗💨🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, volunteered, organized, sponsored, and supported this incredible weekend. 👏🙌 Your hard work and dedication made this one of the best PNSA conventions in recent memory.

To our hosts, the organizing committee, every Noble, every Lady, and every family member—thank you for making Kimberley feel like home. ❤️

What a fantastic day celebrating British Columbia with our communities! From the smiles along the parade route to the waves, high-fives, and plenty of fezzes, it was a wonderful reminder of what makes this province so special.

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on, and to all of our Nobles, Ladies, and volunteers who proudly represented Gizeh Shriners. Every parade is an opportunity to share our mission, connect with our communities, and remind families that Shriners Children’s is here to help when they need us.

One of the greatest ways we can live our values as Shriners is by serving others. While we proudly help children receive life-changing care, we can also make a difference right here at home by donating blood.

As a Shriner, one of the things that surprises people the most is how easy it is to access care through Shriners Hospitals for Children.

A lot of families assume they need a doctor’s referral, expect to wait forever, or worry about what it will cost. The reality is very different.

Families in BC and Yukon can contact Shriners Hospitals directly. Every child is reviewed by a Shriners physician, and care is based on medical need—not a family’s ability to pay.

Shriners Hospitals treat children with conditions like scoliosis, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, osteogenesis imperfecta, cleft lip and palate, burn injuries, and many other orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions.

If you’re not sure whether a child qualifies, don’t assume the answer is no. Reach out and ask. One phone call or email could make a life-changing difference for a child and their family.
