Gizeh Shriners of BC & Yukon We are men sharing our best lives. Fun is our cornerstone and philanthropy is our keystone to fellowship.

Brotherhood, family, compassion and service to others are in our foundation! 22 Hospitals across North America provide children who have orthopaedic plus other, specific medical conditions with world class treatment regardless of the family’s ability to pay. The Shriners are known for their children’s hospitals throughout Canada, USA and Mexico, specializing in orthopaedic / neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries plus other special healthcare conditions such as bone tumours, cleft lip or palate etc. The care environment is compassionate, family-centered and collaborative. Even if your child’s condition is not one that we specialize in, contact us to see what we can do. For those children in BC and Yukon requiring attention for any of the specialty conditions we treat, transportation, accommodation, and all associated medical treatment (including follow-up) are provided at Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners Care for Kids new patient referral coordinators are a toll-free call away and can usually accommodate a child within two weeks for assessment followed soon after with treatment. Shriners Care for Kids offers free transportation options for a child and accompanying parent or caregiver. Options can be: reimbursement of fuel expense for the use of own vehicles; travel on our Care Cruisers; or by air for areas not practically available to our Care Cruisers. Our Care for Kids program is open to children requiring assessment and treatment at BC Children’s, BC Women’s or Sunny Hill Hospitals in Vancouver, or at any Shriners Hospital for Children.

This Thanksgiving, we are reminded that the greatest blessings in life aren’t measured by what we have, but by what we give.

At Gizeh Shriners, we are thankful for the brotherhood that unites us, the families who support us, and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children every day. ❤️

We are grateful for our Nobles, Ladies, volunteers, and supporters across British Columbia and Yukon who give their time, energy, and hearts to something greater than themselves.

Most importantly, we are thankful for the children and families who inspire our mission. Their courage reminds us why we wear the fez and why our work matters.

🍂 Thanksgiving is about gratitude. Being a Shriner is about turning that gratitude into action.

From our Gizeh family to yours, may your Thanksgiving be filled with love, laughter, family, and friendship.

It’s more than a fez.

It’s the roar of a parade.
It’s laughter with Brothers who become family.
It’s road trips, late nights, handshakes, terrible jokes, and stories that get better every time we tell them. 😂

But underneath all the fun is something much bigger.

It’s Brotherhood. Purpose. Service.

It’s showing up for our communities.
It’s supporting kids and families when they need it most. ❤️
It’s carrying forward a legacy that generations of Shriners built before us, while having the courage to make it our own.

Gizeh Shriners isn’t supposed to be something you simply belong to.

It should be something you LIVE.

Bring your family.
Bring your friends.
Bring your ideas.
Bring your energy.

Start something. Lead something. Help someone. Make memories.

Apparently everyone is jumping on the 80s bandwagon… so naturally, the Shriners had to get involved. 😂

Although, looking at this picture, I’m not entirely convinced we ever left.

Big moustaches, bigger sunglasses, questionable fashion choices, tiny cars, cold drinks, red fezzes and a whole lot of fun. 🍻😎

The styles may have changed, but the idea really hasn’t: have fun, build friendships, serve our communities and help kids.

Some things never go out of style.

🔥 BE THE HERO OF YOUR OWN STORY. 🔥

Every great story has a moment when someone decides to step forward.

Not because they have to.
Not because someone is watching.
But because they realize they can make a difference. ❤️

You don’t need a cape to be a hero. 🦸‍♂️

Sometimes being a hero means giving a few hours of your time. Sometimes it means helping a child and their family through one of the hardest chapters of their lives. ❤️‍🩹 Sometimes it means standing beside a Brother who needs you. 🤝 And sometimes it simply means showing up when the world gives you every excuse not to.

That’s what the Shrine is about. 🎩

We are men from every walk of life, brought together by Brotherhood, friendship, fun and a shared belief that our time here should mean something.

😂 We laugh together.
🌎 We travel together.
🤝 We build friendships that can last a lifetime.

Through Shriners Children’s, generations of Shriners have helped children receive life-changing medical care, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. 🏥❤️

❤️ This is what Gizeh Shriners is all about. 🎩

After seeing CTV News’ story about 16-year-old Dillyn from Victoria, who has been waiting more than two years for scoliosis surgery at BC Children’s Hospital—only to have her surgery pushed into next year—Gizeh Shriners of BC & Yukon stepped up to help. ❤️

Through the Shriners Children’s healthcare system, Dillyn has been offered the opportunity to receive the surgery she needs, with the cost of her care fully covered. 🏥❤️

For more than a century, Shriners have helped connect children and families with life-changing medical care, regardless of their ability to pay. 🌎

Sometimes making a difference starts simply by seeing a child who needs help and asking:

“What can we do?” ❤️

🎩 This is why we wear the fez.
❤️ This is why we do what we do.

Shriners helping kids. Changing lives. 🏥❤️

If you weren’t in Kimberley this weekend… you truly missed something special. ❤️🏔️

The 2026 Pacific Northwest Shrine Association Summer Convention was everything the Shrine is about—friendship, fellowship, family, and fun. 🤝❤️ From the moment everyone arrived, the energy was contagious. There were laughs that echoed through the mountains, hugs between friends old and new, incredible events, unforgettable conversations, amazing food, exciting parades, and countless memories made. 🚗💨🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, volunteered, organized, sponsored, and supported this incredible weekend. 👏🙌 Your hard work and dedication made this one of the best PNSA conventions in recent memory.

To our hosts, the organizing committee, every Noble, every Lady, and every family member—thank you for making Kimberley feel like home. ❤️

This is what the Shrine is all about. 💛 It’s more than meetings. More than events. It’s a family that comes together to support one another while changing the lives of children through the mission of Shriners Children’s. ❤️🏥

What a fantastic day celebrating British Columbia with our communities! From the smiles along the parade route to the waves, high-fives, and plenty of fezzes, it was a wonderful reminder of what makes this province so special.

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on, and to all of our Nobles, Ladies, and volunteers who proudly represented Gizeh Shriners. Every parade is an opportunity to share our mission, connect with our communities, and remind families that Shriners Children’s is here to help when they need us.

We hope everyone had a safe and memorable BC Day. Here’s to friendship, fellowship, fun, and continuing to make a difference—one parade at a time.

One of the greatest ways we can live our values as Shriners is by serving others. While we proudly help children receive life-changing care, we can also make a difference right here at home by donating blood.

We’re excited to share that the Gizeh Shriners of BC & Yukon Partners for Life team continues to grow!

Every donation can help patients facing cancer, trauma, surgery, chronic illness, and so much more. It only takes a little of your time to make an incredible impact.
