Brotherhood, family, compassion and service to others are in our foundation! 22 Hospitals across North America provide children who have orthopaedic plus other, specific medical conditions with world class treatment regardless of the family’s ability to pay. The Shriners are known for their children’s hospitals throughout Canada, USA and Mexico, specializing in orthopaedic / neuromusculoskeletal c

onditions, burn injuries plus other special healthcare conditions such as bone tumours, cleft lip or palate etc. The care environment is compassionate, family-centered and collaborative. Even if your child’s condition is not one that we specialize in, contact us to see what we can do. For those children in BC and Yukon requiring attention for any of the specialty conditions we treat, transportation, accommodation, and all associated medical treatment (including follow-up) are provided at Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners Care for Kids new patient referral coordinators are a toll-free call away and can usually accommodate a child within two weeks for assessment followed soon after with treatment. Shriners Care for Kids offers free transportation options for a child and accompanying parent or caregiver. Options can be: reimbursement of fuel expense for the use of own vehicles; travel on our Care Cruisers; or by air for areas not practically available to our Care Cruisers. Our Care for Kids program is open to children requiring assessment and treatment at BC Children’s, BC Women’s or Sunny Hill Hospitals in Vancouver, or at any Shriners Hospital for Children.

📖 A story of men who chose to serve.
🔥 A story of brothers who answered the call.
⭐ A story of dreamers who believed they could leave the world better than they found it.

🕌 For more than 150 years, Shriners have built a legacy not of titles or recognition, but of compassion ❤️, generosity 🙏, laughter 😄, friendship 🤝, and love ❤️.

🏥 They created hospitals where children receive life-changing care regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
🎪 They built traditions, clubs, parades, and events that brought communities together.
🎉 They proved that fun and philanthropy can go hand in hand.

👣 The legacy we celebrate this month was not built by a single generation.
💎 It was built by thousands of Nobles who gave their time ⏰, talents 🎭, and treasures 💰 so those who followed would have something worth inheriting.

🎩✨ What a weekend in Kimberley!

The 2026 Joint Spring Ceremonial was a tremendous success, bringing together Nobles and their families for fellowship, fun, education, and the opportunity to welcome a new class of Nobles into Shrinedom.

A special thank you to Ill. Sir James Mutzeneek, his Divan, and the Nobility of Al Azhar Shriners for joining us from Calgary. The Al Azhar Oriental Band added excitement and tradition to the ceremonial, while their friendship and hospitality throughout the weekend exemplified the very best of Shrinedom.

We were also honoured to hear from Kristin Monasmith of Shriners Children's Spokane, along with a Patient Ambassador and family whose inspiring story reminded us why we do what we do. Their message was a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact Shriners have on children and families.

From Beer & Burgers in the Square, to great entertainment by Dani Strong, to unforgettable fellowship in the hospitality rooms, the weekend was filled with memories that will last for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this event a success. Together, we continue to prove that fun, fellowship, and philanthropy remain at the heart of Shrinedom.

There’s just something special about a small-town parade. 🇨🇦🎉

Had an absolute blast today with the amazing Nobles of the Gizeh Shriners at the Victoria Day Parade in Cumberland. Lots of laughs, lots of smiles, and plenty of people wondering what on earth a bunch of grown men in fezzes are doing driving tiny cars down the street. 😂🔴

But behind all the fun is something meaningful. Every parade, every event, every goofy moment helps shine a light on the incredible work of and the families they support. That’s something I’m incredibly proud to be part of.

Thanks to everyone who waved, cheered, and came out to celebrate community today. Cumberland always shows up. ❤️🤝
