Every drawer holds a memory. Every closet holds a decision.

Downsizing a parent's home before a move to senior living is rarely just a logistics problem, it is an emotional one too. The families who find it manageable are usually the ones who start early, go room by room, and give themselves permission to not decide everything in one weekend.

A few things that help:
📦 Sort into four piles only: keep, donate, family, sell
📏 Measure the new space before you pack
🪑 Bring familiar items first, not new furniture
👨‍👩‍👧 Do not do it alone

A smaller, simpler space is not a loss. For many families, it is the start of something easier.

Carnival fun at Rideau! 🎪✨ Our residents and team enjoyed an afternoon filled with games, laughter, friendly competition, tasty treats, and plenty of smiles. From our fun contests to the prizes and snacks, it was such a lively day spent together.
