The waitlist is shorter than ever for a family doctor or nurse practitioner in Burnaby! Sign up on the Health Connect Registry to be matched with a provider near you.

Head to the link below or call 8-1-1 to register yourself and others in your care. If you need service in a language other than English, just say the name of the language you need.

Registration takes less than 10 minutes. All you need is:

International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is coming up on August 31. IOAD a day of global action when communities come together to honour those we have lost, share information and resources, and organize for a future without drug-related deaths.

Although there will not be a public event in Burnaby this year, we encourage you to observe IOAD on August 31 in your own way. Read our news post to learn more and find Burnaby-specific resources and information to share with the people in your life.

May 19 is BC Family Doctor Day — and today, we’re celebrating Burnaby’s family doctors and the care they provide every day!
 
Family doctors provide ongoing, comprehensive primary care over time. Many are responsible for patient panels of 1,200+ people, while also seeing dozens of patients a day, reviewing results, completing forms and referrals, and coordinating care with specialists, hospitals, allied health professionals, and community supports. 
 
For patients, this is why continuity matters. When you have a family doctor, starting with them helps support more connected care, because they know your history and the bigger picture of your care. The Burnaby PCN works to strengthen these care connections, providing services that benefit patients and their primary care providers.
 
To Burnaby’s family doctors: thank you for the care you provide that we can see, and the work we don’t!
