School bells are about to ring! 🎒 On September 8th, students across Canada head back to class for a brand new school year.

For most families, that means new supplies, new routines, and a lot of excitement. But for some families, back-to-school season brings a different kind of worry — a field trip permission form that brings stress instead of excitement, because the $15 fee just isn't there this month. A missed lunch. A winter coat that's a size too small, worn anyway.

Financial hardship doesn't stay at home when kids go to school — it shows up in the classroom, on field trips, and in the small moments that shape a child's sense of belonging.

At The Suri Foundation, we believe every child deserves to start the school year feeling ready, supported, and without financial stress standing in the way. 💙
