The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association has been in existence for over 40 years, and works continually to promote all of the aspects pertaining to the quality and safety in the RVs built by our CRVA member companies. The CRVA Board of Directors and their sub-committees meet on a regular basis. Their vast experience in the various specialized areas of the recreational vehicle industry ensures that the Association keeps abreast of current trends and technical improvements. CRVA works hand-in-hand with Transport Canada, the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Branch, Departments of Travel and Tourism, Campground Owners Associations as well as the various Recreational Vehicle Dealers Associations who have their own Canada-wide groups. We draw on this wealth of experience and technical know-how to keep abreast of current trends and technical improvements by constantly reviewing design concepts and manufacturing advances.

Care Camps helps give children living with cancer the opportunity to experience something every child deserves — the friendship, laughter and memories that come from going to camp.

It was a real pleasure to attend the RVDA OF BC 50th Annual General Meeting this week on August 27, 2026, at Harrison Lake, BC, alongside our industry partners , Canadian Camping and RV Association, and .

One of the special moments of the AGM was when the RVDA of BC Board presented Eleonore Hamm, President of the RVDA of Canada, with a bottle of champagne in recognition of her many years of leadership, commitment, and support of RV dealers and the Canadian RV industry.

CRVA would like to congratulate John Petrie of Niagara Trailers on being named the 2026 Ontario RV Dealers Association RV Dealer of the Year.

Under John’s leadership, Niagara Trailers has become one of Canada’s most respected RV dealerships — while remaining true to the family values established more than 50 years ago by his parents, Doug and Anna Petrie. John and the Niagara Trailers team have been tremendous supporters of their local community and numerous charitable organizations throughout the Niagara region.

John summed it up perfectly when accepting the award by giving the credit to his team at Niagara Trailers. That probably tells you everything you need to know about the kind of leader he is.
