With World Polio Day tomorrow, October 24, we’re proud of our very own Valarie Wafer, Co-Chair of Rotary International’s PolioPlus Committee, for continuing to champion a world without polio and keeping this important cause in the spotlight.

Proud to support the 2026 Halton Children’s Water Festival! 💧

The Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore donated $2,500 to Conservation Halton Foundation to help make this year’s festival happen at Kelso Conservation Area.

Over four days, thousands of elementary students took part in about 60 hands-on learning stations about water, the environment, and how we all play a part in protecting it. Our Community Services Co-Chair, Jacqui Murray, attended the Supporter Appreciation Event and came away impressed by the size and organization of it all.

This festival lines up with so much of what Rotary cares about: clean water, education, the environment, and the health of kids in our community.

Thank you to Conservation Halton Foundation and every volunteer and educator who made it happen.

Rotary Burlington Lakeshore was proud to join fellow Burlington Rotary clubs and Mayor Marianne Meed Ward at City Hall to raise the End Polio Now flag ahead of World Polio Day on October 24.

A special shout-out to our very own Valarie Wafer, Co-Chair of Rotary International’s International PolioPlus Committee, for her leadership in this global effort.

Jacqui Murray, Suzanne Wickett and Julie Cordasco are all smiles as they prepare cookies provided by the Rotary Clubs of Burlington for the Wellington Square United Church Friday Hub & Lunch.

These cookies are a small way to share some Thanksgiving cheer and show our support for the wonderful community programs that bring people together.

The Rotary Burlington Lakeshore volunteers at GlobalMedic every month, packing much needed food aid. With 1 in 4 families in Canada experiencing food insecurity, getting our McAntony's Menu pantry staples out the door is more important than ever.
