When Chase was diagnosed with nephroblastoma (cancer of the kidney, aka Wilms Tumor), we were devastated, terrified, and numb. We were so fortunate that we received immediate support, both financially and emotionally, from our HRPS family, and our own family and friends. Because of this support we were able to concentrate on Chase's battle. We also witnessed other families who did not have that su
pport, and the extreme stress it caused. We wanted to find a way to support them, and Chase's Gift is our answer to that. Funds raised will be provided to families to assist in offsetting the numerous costs: Parking, gas, accommodation, loss of income, food/snacks while at the hospital. These add up and can be a burden. Hopefully Chase's Gift will alleviate some of these worries for the families we are able to help.
