Thank you to everyone who visited us at yesterday’s Doors Open Burlington event! We had more than 300 visitors who toured our space, checked out our robot and took home their own mini robots. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our mission and hard work with so many people, and we were inspired by the many great conversations we had. We’re already looking forward to next year!

We’re hosting a paper shredding fundraiser on August 15th!
From 11am to 3pm we will have a PaperSavers mobile shredding truck at our shop. The truck has built in cameras and display so you can watch your documents be destroyed. PaperSavers also provides Certificates of Destruction for businesses that would like to participate.

Shredding will cost $20 per box or $10 per bag of documents.

If you have papers and documents to shred, please fill out this form: bit.ly/BCRshredding
This will help us gauge how many shredding trucks will be required.

Students entering grades 9-12 can join FRC Team 2200 and learn hands-on skills in design, programming, manufacturing, electrical, media, strategy, and more.

No previous robotics experience is needed.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, our annual Bottles 4 Bots fundraiser raised $6,622.88, surpassing last year’s total and setting a new record!

Thank you to everyone who donated their empty bottles and cans, made cash donations, and supported this fundraiser. Every contribution helps provide Burlington Community Robotics team members with the tools, materials and opportunities they need to learn, compete and grow.

A special thank you goes to our amazing volunteers who spent the day collecting, sorting, loading and counting thousands of containers. This fundraiser simply would not be possible without your hard work and dedication.

To everyone who helped make this event such a success, thank you for investing in our students and our program. We are so proud to have such an incredible community behind us!

Every bag of empties helps us create more opportunities for local students to learn, build, and grow.

How to Participate:

Option 1: Request a Pickup (Easiest!)

Complete the pickup request form below.
Collect your empty alcohol cans and bottles.
On the morning of July 11, place them outside your front door.
We’ll come by and pick them up.
Important: This year we will only be collecting from homes in Burlington that have requested a pickup in advance.

Option 2: Drop Off Your Empties

Prefer to deliver them yourself?

Bring your empties to our workshop at 1140 Heritage Rd on the morning of July 11 and our volunteers will take care of the rest.

Option 3: Return Them Yourself and Donate the Refund

You can also return your empties directly to a Beer Store location and donate the refund to Burlington Community Robotics.

If you’d like to support our students but don’t have empties to donate, financial donations are always welcome.

Bottles4Bots is one of our biggest community fundraisers of the year. Every donation, large or small, helps local students gain access to meaningful STEM experiences and hands-on learning opportunities.
