A sold out season finale to remember!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Movies at the Symphony, an unforgettable evening celebrating some of the greatest music composed for the big screen. From thrilling action themes to sweeping cinematic moments, the energy in the hall was incredible from beginning to end.

A sincere thank you to our musicians, special guests, staff, volunteers, and our incredible audience for making this season finale such a memorable night.

Meet Ali Raney, BSO musician and featured soloist for Movies at the Symphony, our nearly sold-out 2025/26 season finale!

Ali is a Burlington based 12-time Canadian Country Music Association nominee and 6-time Fiddle Player of the Year nominee with a dynamic career across country,
classical, and musical theatre stages. Ali's theatre credits include Come From Away, Hamilton, and Dear Evan Hansen with Mirvish Productions.

We’re thrilled to add music from Being Julia by Burlington’s own Academy Award–winning composer, Mychael Danna, to Movies at the Symphony.  

Mychael Danna is known for his distinctive, globally inspired sound. In addition to his Oscar, Mychal has won an Emmy for Outstanding Composition for the mini-series World Without End (2013), the Frederick Loewe Award for Film Composing (2013), the World Soundtrack Awards for Film Composer of the Year, and Best Score of the Year (both 2013), and the Hollywood Film Award for Composer of the Year (2016).
