DIAC is pleased to welcome Hasnaa Fatehi, PhD, as a regulatory affairs consultant to the team. Hasnaa is a MedTech regulatory leader with unmatched experience working across North America, Europe and Asia.

She served as Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) Western Canada Chapter and Chair of the MedTech Committee at TOPRA, the UK's largest regulatory professionals association.

Her international work includes collaboration with the Taiwan FDA, Taiwan National Health Insurance Agency, and Sanofi to facilitate the first conversations on regulating and reimbursing Digital Health technologies in Taiwan.

An avid supporter of Canadian MedTech, Hasnaa founded Western MedTech (www.westernmedtech.ca) in January 2024, a grassroots network connecting western Canada's MedTech ecosystem and supporting policy discussions within the sector.

Hasnaa's work focuses on bridging regulatory policy with MedTech innovation, supporting best practices for the advancement of medical technologies in Canada. She brings a much-needed focus to regulatory affairs, and we look forward to the insight and leadership she will contribute to DIAC’s work in this area.
