Canadian Camping and RV Association The Canadian Campgrounds and RV Association (CCRVA) is a Canadian non-profit association and the voice of the camping industry in Canada.

Campgrounds offer an opportunity for families to spend time together, create life-long memories and discover the beauty of Canada’s natural landscape. Campgrounds are the primary destination of Canadian RV customers, providing accommodations to families who travel campground to campground or choose one primary campground destination for the duration of their holidays. We hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend filled with great food, cozy campfires, and beautiful fall foliage. If you hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at your campsite this weekend, we know exactly what you are dealing with today: The Great RV Leftover Challenge!

Fitting an entire Thanksgiving feast into an RV refrigerator is hard enough, but finding room for all the leftovers before you hit the road is an Olympic sport.

3 Genius Ways to Use Campground Leftovers This Week:

Campfire Turkey Hash: Chop up your leftover turkey and roasted potatoes, fry them in a cast-iron skillet over the morning fire, and top with a fried egg for the ultimate campground breakfast.

The "Everything" Sandwich: Grab some thick bread and layer the turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. If your rig has a panini press or a pie iron, toast it until the gravy is warm!

The Thanksgiving Long Weekend has officially arrived! From coast to coast, this is a weekend dedicated to family, crisp autumn air, and giving thanks for another incredible season of camping.

There is truly nothing better than the smell of a campfire mixed with the scent of a roasting turkey, or the feeling of being surrounded by the brilliant fall colors of our Canadian parks.

How to make the most of this special long weekend:

The "No-Rush" Monday: Since Thanksgiving is a statutory holiday across most provinces, you have the luxury of a slow Monday pack-up. Enjoy one last morning coffee by the fire before hitching up!

Share the Warmth: If you have extra firewood or an extra slice of pumpkin pie, walk it over to your campground neighbors. The camping community is what makes this lifestyle so incredible.

Reflect and Unplug: Put the phones away and take a quiet walk through the campground trails. It is the perfect time to reflect on all the beautiful places your RV took you this year.

We have so much to be thankful for, but most importantly, we are thankful for this amazing community of Canadian RVers.
