Happy Friday, campers! ☕🌲

Welcome to the final weekend of August! Before the beautiful chaos of the September Long Weekend hits next week, this weekend offers a rare, peaceful window for camping.

Often called "The Calm Before the Storm," the last weekend in August is one of our absolute favorite times to be at a CCRVA member park. The back-to-school crowds are busy at home, the campground roads are a little quieter, and the crisp morning air is practically begging for a hot cup of camp coffee.

How to make the most of this weekend:

Embrace the Quiet: With fewer crowds, it’s the perfect weekend to finally read that book you brought in May or take a long, uninterrupted afternoon nap in the hammock.

The Pantry Clean-Out: Challenge yourself to build your weekend meals using only what is already left in the RV pantry and freezer. It makes packing up at the end of the season much easier!

Enjoy the Early Sunsets: The days are getting noticeably shorter, which means you don't have to wait until 10 PM to start the campfire and break out the marshmallows.

Are you sneaking in one more quiet trip before the holiday rush? Tell us where you are parked this weekend! 🍂🚐

Happy Travel Tuesday, campers! 🚐🗓️

Can you believe we are already looking at the end of August? In Canada, Labour Day officially falls on Monday, September 7th this year. That means the grand finale of the summer camping season—the Labour Day Long Weekend—is less than two weeks away!

Because this is traditionally one of the busiest camping weekends of the year, getting a head start on your prep now will save you a massive headache next week.

Your Early Prep Checklist:

Confirm the Reservation: Log into your campground portal or call the front desk to double-check your arrival dates and site number.

The Propane Check: You are going to need more propane as the evenings get colder! Top up your tanks this week to avoid the long lines at the filling station next Friday.

Pack the Layers: September weather is unpredictable. Start swapping out the summer beach towels for heavier blankets, cozy sweaters, and extra rain gear.

Have you secured your Labour Day weekend site, or are you hoping to snag a lucky last-minute cancellation? Let us know below! 👇

Happy Friday, campers! 🌅🌲

Welcome to the golden days of summer! Have you noticed a slight change in the air this week? The sun is setting just a little bit earlier, the morning dew is a little heavier, and you might actually need to pull a cozy sweater out of the RV closet after the sun goes down.

This transition from peak summer to early autumn is arguably the most beautiful time of the year to be at a campground.

Why late August camping is unmatched:

The Perfect Sleeping Weather: Say goodbye to tossing and turning in a hot RV! Those crisp evening temperatures mean you can finally open the trailer windows and sleep comfortably under a heavy blanket.

Fewer Bugs: As the nights get cooler, the mosquitoes and black flies finally start to retreat, making evening campfire time infinitely more enjoyable.

Golden Hour Photography: The lower angle of the sun in late August creates the absolute best natural lighting for capturing those perfect campground family photos.

If you are hitching up and heading out this weekend, enjoy the crisp air and the beautiful sunsets! Where are you spending this gorgeous August weekend? 🍂🚐

Happy Travel Tuesday, campers! 🚐🎒

We are officially in the second half of August, which means the "Back to School" countdown has quietly begun. But before we start trading in our campfire roasting sticks for backpacks and lunchboxes, there is still plenty of time for one last epic summer adventure!

Late August is often the absolute best time for family camping. The peak-season rush is starting to settle down, the lakes are at their warmest, and the evenings are just starting to cool off enough for the perfect campfire.

Tips for your end-of-summer family trip:

Book the Labour Day Weekend NOW: If you haven't secured your site for the September Long Weekend yet, do it today! It is the grand finale of the summer camping season and sites at CCRVA member parks fill up fast.

Happy Friday, campers! 🌲📖

We have a very important announcement to make for this weekend: Tomorrow (August 15th) is officially National Relaxation Day!

August is usually the time of summer when we try to cram in as many hikes, boat rides, and tourist attractions as humanly possible before the season ends. But this weekend? This weekend, we are officially giving you permission to do absolutely nothing.

How to celebrate National Relaxation Day at the campsite:

🍃༄ The "No Alarm" Rule: Turn off your phone alarms tonight. Let the sound of the birds (or the gentle hum of your RV air conditioner) wake you up naturally tomorrow.

🍃༄ Hammock Hours: Declare at least two solid hours of mandatory hammock or reclining chair time tomorrow afternoon. Books, naps, and cloud-watching are all highly encouraged.

🍃༄ Skip the Dishes: Plan a "no-cook" day! Support your campground’s local chip truck, order a pizza to the park gates, or stick to easy cold-cut sandwiches so nobody has to scrub pots and pans.

Leave the itinerary at home and just breathe in that fresh Canadian air. How are you unwinding this weekend?
