Happy Friday! 🔥🍳

If there is one piece of gear that belongs in every camp kitchen—whether you are sleeping in a luxurious fifth-wheel or a minimalist tent—it is the legendary cast-iron skillet.

Virtually indestructible, cast iron holds heat beautifully and can go directly from your RV stove to a camp stove, or right onto the glowing coals of a campfire. It is the ultimate heavy-duty multi-tool for outdoor cooking!

Quick Tips for Campfire Cast Iron:

Preheat is Essential: Always let your skillet heat up slowly over the fire before adding your food. This helps create that perfect, non-stick sear.

The Soap Myth: Don't be afraid to use a tiny drop of mild dish soap and hot water to clean it at the campsite dump sink! Just make sure to dry it completely immediately after washing.

Never Store It Wet: Moisture is cast iron's worst enemy. After washing, place it back over the fire for a minute to evaporate all water, then wipe a thin layer of cooking oil over the surface to protect the seasoning.

What's cooking this weekend? Drop your absolute favourite cast-iron recipe below! Are you team savory (giant breakfast hash) or team sweet (campfire cobbler)?

Happy Travel Tuesday! 🚐👀

We've all been there: you arrive at the campground after a long drive, you pull up to your beautiful back-in site, and suddenly, everyone in the loop decides to sit in their lawn chairs and watch you park. Talk about high pressure!

Backing up an RV or a travel trailer can be intimidating, but with a little teamwork and communication, you can nail it on the first try like an absolute pro.

Our Go-To RV Backing Tips:

Ditch the Shouting: Roll down your windows or, better yet, put your spotter on a hands-free phone call or use two-way radios. Shouting over a roaring engine is a recipe for frustration.

The "Holding the Wheel" Trick: Drivers, place your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel (the 6 o’clock position). Whichever direction you move your hand is exactly the direction the back of the trailer will go!

The Spotter's Golden Rule: Spotters, if you cannot see the driver’s face in the RV’s side mirrors, they cannot see you! Always stay visible.

Agree on Hand Signals: Before you even put the rig in reverse, make sure you both agree on what "stop," "turn," and "straight" look like.

Practice makes perfect, and there is no shame in pulling forward to try again.

What is your golden rule for stress-free RV parking? Do you have a designated driver and spotter duo? Tell us in the comments! 👇

Happy Friday! 🚐✨

We are going to let you in on a little secret known to seasoned campers across Canada: The weekend after the May Long Weekend is often the absolute best time to go camping.

Last week, the highways were packed and the campgrounds were buzzing with holiday energy. But this weekend? This weekend belongs to the peace-seekers.

Why we love this weekend:

Prime Real Estate: With the holiday rush over, it’s much easier to snag that highly coveted waterfront or pull-through site.

Quiet Trails: The hiking trails and beaches are practically empty, giving you a front-row seat to spring wildlife.

The Gear is Ready: You already did the hard work of de-winterizing and packing the rig last week. All you have to do today is add groceries and go!

If you are heading out for some quiet time in the woods this weekend, we wish you clear skies and crackling campfires!

Are you a "weekend warrior" heading back to the campground today, or are you taking a breather?

Welcome back to reality, campers! ☕🌲

The May Long Weekend has officially come and gone. If you're sitting at your desk today drinking coffee out of a regular mug instead of your favourite enamel camp cup, we feel your pain! The post-long-weekend blues are very real.

Before you completely close the book on the weekend, tackling a few quick chores today will make your next trip infinitely easier:

The Tuesday Wrap-Up Routine:

Dump the Damp: If it rained (or if you had heavy morning dew), open your tent, pop-up trailer, or awning in the driveway immediately. Packing canvas away while it's damp is a guaranteed recipe for mildew.

The Fridge Wipe-Down: Empty the RV fridge completely, wipe it down with a bit of vanilla extract on a paper towel (a verified trick to keep it smelling fresh!), and prop the door open so air can circulate while it’s parked.

Restock the "Uh-Oh" Box: Did you run out of matches, bug spray, or AA batteries? Put them on this week's grocery list now before you forget.

We want to see your adventures! Drop your absolute favourite photo from the long weekend in the comments below! 👇

Happy Sunday! ☀️🌲

Do you know what the absolute best part of the May Long Weekend is? Waking up on a Sunday morning and realizing you don't have to pack up the RV today! 🙌

Having that statutory holiday on Monday means today is a glorious "bonus day." There is no rushing to the dump station, no folding up damp tarps, and no hitting the highway traffic. Just a full, uninterrupted day of campground bliss.

How to make the most of your Long Weekend Sunday:

Host a Tournament: Break out the ladder ball, co****le, or bocce ball for a friendly (but highly competitive) campsite championship.

The Afternoon Nap: Claim the hammock or the best reclining camp chair and let the sound of the wind in the trees do the rest.

Slow Cooking: Since you have nowhere to be, skip the quick meals and spend the afternoon slow-roasting dinner over the campfire coals.

So kick back, pour another cup of coffee, and enjoy the extra day in nature!

What is on your agenda for today? Are you hiking, paddling, or strictly lounging? Let us know below! 👇

Happy Thursday! 🏕️💭

Let’s be honest: productivity across Canada is at an all-time low today. When the legendary May Long Weekend is just 24 hours away, it is nearly impossible to focus on spreadsheets when you’d rather be sorting your fishing tackle and double-checking your RV tire pressure.

If you are counting down the final hours until you can hitch up and hit the highway, use your breaks today to mentally check off those last-minute essentials.

The "Do Not Forget" Last-Minute List:

✅ The Bug Spray: The mosquitoes are officially awake.

✅ The Rain Gear: It is Canadian spring, after all! Pack the waterproof jackets and an extra tarp just in case.

✅ The RV Keys: You’d be surprised how often these get left on the kitchen counter in the packing frenzy!

Hang in there, campers. The weekend is almost here! What time are you hitting the road tomorrow? 🚐💨
