We welcome our new and returning Summer Students! Please meet Sakeenah, our new Community Engagement & Marketing Assistant. Zach is our new Warehouse Assistant. Returning to BFB community garden spaces is Owen, joined by our new Garden Support, Jake. We are excited to have you all!

We would also like to take this opportunity to say farewell and all the best to Brooklyn! Brooklyn started her high school co-op at BFB, stayed on as a volunteer, and then spent 4 summers as an employee, most recently as our Social Media Coordinator. Brooklyn, your smile, calm, friendly demeanour, and big heart will be missed by many. Thank you for all that you gave to BFB in time, spirit, and goodwill. We all wish you nothing but the best in your next chapter!

Myth: Food banks create dependency and hold people back.
Fact: For many, food banks are a short-term support, helping individuals and families get through tough times while they work toward stability.

Food banks help create conditions for people to move forward. ⏩️

Thank you to for continuing to raise awareness and break down misconceptions. 🌟

At Burlington Food Bank, we believe food security is about more than just food; it's about dignity πŸ’™

Everyone deserves the choice to select the foods that fit their family's needs, culture, and preferences

When individuals are empowered to make their own choices, they gain more than just sustenance; they also gain hope, autonomy, and a sense of belonging

Summer can be one of the hardest times for families facing
food insecurity. While the need continues to grow, donations
often slow down. 🀝

You can help support local families by donating most-
needed items like:
Cereal (hot & cold), Peanut butter, Granola bars (peanut
free), Crackers, Juice, Canned vegetables, fruit, tomatoes &
meat, Pasta sauce, Soup, Legumes, Personal hygiene
products

Donate online or drop off items at participating grocery
stores, fire halls, or local food support organizations.
Together, we can help keep shelves full this summer.πŸ’™
