Some days mark a new bond and beginning - Today is one such day!
It was such a humbling and deeply joyful Friday morning as we watched the 100 Seeds of Joy flag rise high above Oakville Town Hall, marking June 19 as Sahaja Yoga Day through a proclamation by Oakville's Mayor, Rob Burton.
As we celebrated 20 years of free Sahaja Yoga Meditation in Oakville, our hearts were filled with gratitude. We were honoured by the presence and support of so many distinguished guests whose encouragement means the world to us, including Ward 5 Town and Regional Councillor Jeff Knoll, Ward 7 Town Councillor Scott Xie, a congratulatory and appreciation message on behalf of Ontario Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement and Oakville MPP Stephen Crawford, and Stephen Dankowich, Executive Director of OCCPHR and Spirit Award recipient.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the ceremony was seeing one of our youngest volunteers proudly help raise the 100 Seeds of Joy flag alongside Mayor Rob Burton—a beautiful symbol of hope, service, and the generations who will carry this journey forward.
Adding to the serenity of the occasion, our Sahaja sister and musician from Montreal, Ekaterina, filled the air with her soulful voice, creating a moment of peace that touched every heart.
Seeing our volunteers standing proudly together, holding the three recognitions received from the Mayor, Members of Parliament, and Members of Provincial Parliament, was a beautiful reminder that every act of selfless service leaves a lasting impact.
To every volunteer who has shared their time, love, and dedication over the past 20 years, thank you. This celebration belongs to each one of you. Together, we continue to plant seeds of joy, one heart at a time.
