Centre for Diverse Learners

Centre for Diverse Learners As the Centre for Diverse Learners, our mission is to support and empower diverse learners. https://linktr.ee/learndiverse Diversity includes everyone.

Why the name Centre for Diverse Learners? We do not want to be limited, by a name, in the types of students we are able to serve. We want all the students who need us to be seen and heard. Diversity is embedded in everything we do:

Diversity in Needs: Learning Disabilities (LDs) rarely appear on their own, and we serve students with LDs, ADHD, high-spectrum Autism, and the many other symptoms tha

t accompany these diagnoses, like executive functioning and mental health issues. Diversity in Learning: We pride ourselves on having a wide array of support and staff to assist our students every step of the way. Our programs and advocacy services cover a range of needs both in and out of the classroom. Diversity in Thought and Identity: Our staff, board members, and community come from many different walks of life, and each brings a unique perspective to help us continually improve the ways we support our students. Learning diversity is not restricted by age, race, religion, or gender and neither are we.

As the school year winds down, thank you to our Leaps in Literacy sponsors who helped make learning possible this year for so many neurodiverse students. Your continued support allows learners to feel supported, seen and empowered in their education.

Here at the Centre for Diverse Learners, we believe that accessibility goes beyond physical spaces. It starts when we embrace neurodiversity, amplify disabled voices and intentionally foster inclusion in the foundation of our work.

Every day, our staff make a commitment to empowering neurodiverse children, youth and families through educational and social-emotional programming.

That's why we are proud to participate in Red Shirt Day as we continue taking action towards creating accessible and inclusive spaces.

Our programs would not be possible without our fabulous educators! Their hard work and dedication are the reason that children in our programs feel more confident, included, and supported.

As we celebrated our educator appreciation night last night, we are feeling a little extra grateful 🥰

Thank you to all of the educators who joined us this year!

What a year of small group programming it has been!

We want to give a huge shoutout to everyone who made this year such a resounding success. We were able to serve more students than ever, serve more locations than ever, and offer more programs than ever before in the Hamilton & Halton area.

We would like to share a few of our success stories with you and prepare for what is sure to be a great summer and 2026-27.

Thank you to all our staff, educators, collaborators, donors, and everyone who makes what we do possible.

We are so excited to share this incredible event in which all proceeds will be donated back to the
Centre for Diverse Learners!

Join us for the Mama Moon Circle, an uplifting evening of connection, reflection, laughter, and movement under the moonlight at Burlington Beach.

Hosted by Lara Dawn, CEO of The ADHD Village, this gathering is designed for mothers who need a break from the pressure of daily life, want to release stress, and connect with
like-minded women who truly get it.

The evening will include:
✨ Connection circle & moon rituals

✨ Dance Alchemy experience led by special guest and Ü LEAD Coach Megan Lora
✨ Music, movement, joy, and community

No dance experience is needed. This is not about performance. It’s about freedom, healing,
and FUN.
