We want to send a huge "Thank You" to the incredible students and staff at our local schools for their hard work and generosity this holiday season.

First, a massive shout-out to Central Algoma Elementary School (CAES) in Desbarats. Their recent food drive was a huge success! We are so impressed by the enthusiasm of the students and the dedication of the faculty. You’ve truly helped fill our shelves and support families in our community.

Second, we want to recognize Central Algoma Secondary School (CASS) for their superb efforts. Every year, the CASS students and staff go above and beyond, and this year was no exception. Their commitment to giving back shows great leadership and heart.

We appreciate everything both schools do for us during the holidays and throughout the year. Thank you for being such vital partners in helping us fight food insecurity in our area!

Huge Thank You to Lighthouse Church! 🦃✨
We are feeling incredibly blessed and grateful! A massive thank you to the Lighthouse Community Church, Pastor Ari Den Besten, and their entire congregation for their incredible generosity.

Just in time for Christmas, they donated 30 turkeys to ensure that many of our clients could enjoy a festive holiday meal. This kind of continued support is what makes our community so special. We truly couldn't do what we do without friends like you.

Thank you for helping us share the joy of the season!

Also thank you to the Bruce Mines Church for hosting us so we can continue to serve the community.

We get eggs donated from the local farmers. Contact Brian Dixon at 7052553354 for pickup minus dropping them off on Wednesday while we're open.

💖 Thank You, Bruce Mines: Your Generosity Shines Bright! 💖

The **Bruce Mines Food Bank** extends our most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the entire community and the organizers of the **Annual Winter Christmas and Craft Fair** held this past Saturday.

We are truly grateful by the incredible generosity demonstrated at the event. The commitment of our community and the craft fair committee to supporting the Food Bank has resulted in a critical donation that will directly impact our neighbors in need this winter season. We have more fantastic news to share! Our deepest thanks go out to the Lighthouse Community Church and their new pastor, Arie Den Besten, for their generous and appreciated ongoing support. Following the previous lions club donation, they have also contributed a new, matching fridge/freezer, purchased locally from Heritage Home Hardware Building Centre - Bruce Station. This second vital addition means we have now successfully replaced all of our old and/or broken cold-storage units. We can now safely store significantly more perishable and frozen food, allowing us to serve our clients better than ever before. We appreciate you!!! Now its onto fundraising/donations and getting them all full for the coming months.

A huge thank you to the Bruce Mines Lions Club for their wonderful support! They have generously donated a new fridge/freezer, purchased right here in the community from Heritage Home Hardware Building Centre - Bruce Station . This vital addition means we can now safely store more perishable food, replacing our aging broken equipment and allowing us to better serve our clients with even more great news coming soon. stay tuned.

Our shelves are getting pretty low, Please donate if you can.

Snacks/Treats
Condiments
Jams / Margarine
Rice

Donations accepted during Foodbank hours every Wed 9am-1130am at the foodbank. There is also a donation bin at Fosters and you can call Brian to arrange donation drop off or pickups any other time at 705-255-3354
