WHAT: 75th birthday of Dominique Lemay, founder of the Virlanie Foundation, alongside the foundation’s 33rd anniversary
WHEN: July 26, 2025
WHERE: Fairmont Makati
C.F. Sharp Crew Management had the honor of joining the celebration of Dominique Lemay’s 75th birthday, marking not only a milestone in his life but also 33 years of the Virlanie Foundation’s unwavering commitment to disadvantaged children in the Philippines.
Since its founding, the Virlanie Foundation has impacted more than 22,000 young lives, offering shelter, education, healthcare, and most importantly, hope for a brighter future. Meeting Mr. Lemay in person was a humbling experience — his dedication reminds us that true leadership is measured by compassion and service to others.
This celebration also gave us the opportunity to highlight the ongoing efforts of our principal, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), whose compassion extends far beyond the seas. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, NCL runs Project Tulong—a meaningful program dedicated to supporting the children of the Virlanie Foundation. Every Filipino crew member and personnel onboard the NCL fleet voluntarily contributes ₱50 per month, and in a beautiful gesture of solidarity, NCL contributes US$ 50,000 each year! These pooled funds are then remitted directly to Virlanie to help provide care, education, and a brighter future for street children.
This ongoing act of kindness is a true reflection of NCL’s heart and commitment to making a difference—not just in the lives of passengers, but in the lives of those who need it most.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to NCL and every Filipino crew member for their generosity and belief in the power of giving back. Above all, we celebrate the remarkable contributions of Kuya Dominique “Dom” Lemay — whose tireless devotion and brotherly care have given thousands of children not just a home, but a family. His legacy continues to inspire all of us to lead with empathy, act with kindness, and serve with purpose.
