Sorry for the delay! We were caught up travelling and visiting family in NL!

We made it up Gros Morne for the third time, but this time was a little different. We dedicated our hike to Mom and raising awareness for ALS.

We hope Hike for ALS can become an annual tradition, and that more people will join Team Kelly-Carter as the years go on. Together, we can help raise awareness and support for those affected by ALS.

We hope you’re proud, Mom. We love and miss you so much. 💜

We grieved mom before she passed. She was still there but not the same; changes seemed to happen daily. It hurts so much to hear other people’s stories. It’s such a hard journey.

Sandra Bullock is opening up about the death of her late partner Bryan Randall from ALS. Keeping the diagnosis a secret “isolated me in the process,” she admitted.

“He asked me not to share [his ALS diagnosis]. I know why he asked me not to. My sister [Gesine Bullock-Prado] was the only one who knew for a while... At first I go, ‘Oh, I can handle that. I can be quiet.’”

“I think where he was in his journey, both physically and mentally, I started grieving Bryan four years before he passed. There was something that had shifted... My person left a lot earlier than the body left. I don’t think I ever dealt with that until after he passed, because you’re just on this treadmill.”

💜 Walk Strong 2026: An Incredible Community Impact 💜

As of today, our 2026 ALS Walk Strong events have raised $193,069 in support of people living with ALS and their families across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

At this same point last year, Walk Strong had raised $157,847. That is an increase of more than $35,000 over last year!

This is an incredible accomplishment, and it speaks to the strength, generosity, and heart of our ALS community.

To our volunteers, coordinators, ambassadors, sponsors, staff, donors, participants, Board members, and everyone who helped support this year’s walks in so many ways, thank you.

Your support helps people living with ALS remain at home with their families, surrounded by love, comfort, care, and the opportunity to keep making memories.

Every dollar raised matters. Every person who showed up matters. Every moment of support helps make more moments possible. 💜

Thank you for making Walk Strong 2026 such a meaningful and impactful season.
